There are a number of ways to transfer your digital files to us for transcription. Most of our clients use one of the free large file transfer programmes available online (with SSL security) as the safest and most effective solutions.
Suitable only for smaller sized files and .DSS files. Olympus have made their files so compressed that even a recording of 45 minutes can be emailed through.
TP Transcription Dictation Software
Purchase our software, install it and add our server details. Whenever you upload dictation or recordings, simply press one button and your files are instantly uploaded to our server. Suitable for ongoing contracts, we can also supply hardware.
FTP
If your files are located on your local server we can download the files directly. This technique is used regularly by a large number of academic institutions.
Upload to Our Server
Suitable for WAV and MP3 files, together with our own dictation software and NCH solutions. Simply log in to our server, click the upload button, specify the return time and any instructions and we will transcribe the recording and return by email or via our server if preferred.
Post
Post USB (memory) sticks, CDs and other similar storage media to our office.
Dropbox
A file sharing utility which allows you to put a folder on your desktop with a folder stored in the cloud online. Free to use, simply install, set up and share the folder containing your files with enquiries@tptranscription.co.uk

Very powerful US based file transfer programme. The basic version is free, but you are limited in size of file to transfer. Check the current rates for information.
Sendspace.com
This is the recommended 3rd party file transfer programme. You can send any file, any size, anywhere in the world, completely free of charge. Make sure you do not click the premium service buttons and you will not incur any costs.
We work with a range of media, including (but not excluding any others): VHS Video, CD, DVD, standard cassette tapes, microcassette tapes, macrocassette tapes, mini disks and records. As a result there are lots of different techniques best for sending each type of recording.
